Here is the obituary that appeared in the Sunday February 7th Saint Louis Post Dispatch:

Klarmann, Erika passed away on January 26, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Klarmann (professor emeritus of physics, Wash. U.); mother of Dan Klarmann (Karen Jackson) and Peter Klarmann; sister of Klaus Müller of Böblingen, Germany, and the late Rosemarie Lehmann-Haupt; loving aunt and good friend.

Mrs. Klarmann was born Waltraut Müller in Berlin in 1926, survived the war in Germany and then Czechoslovakia, apprenticed in horticulture in Hannover, Germany, moved to the U.S. in 1956 to live in Rochester, NY where she met her husband, and settled in St. Louis in 1961. She was an avid gardener, gifted seamstress and creative cook.
