As we approach Kansas City, it starts to rain. This is the Higginsville/MO-13 exit, 49 miles to KC.

At the first rest area on the Kansas turnpike, the Traveler's Lounge is full of Christmas decorations, staged as they prepare put them up for the holiday. It is the first week of November.

We took a break after driving through KC at rush hour in the rain. Back home, the transmission rate is still orange, so we start out masking in public places. This does not last long.That Dasani bottle is at least 5 years old, refilled frequently. The sports top is older than that.
