by Karen Jackson, daughter-in-law (Dan's wife)
Erika, Dan, Pete, Ruthi, and the various neices, nephews and other relatives, colleagues and friends: I really grew to love and admire Joe in the time that we were in one another's lives. I can only share, in a small way, I'm sure, in the grief and loss each of you must feel with his passing. I certainly had expected to share many more meals, visits, and trips around the yards (theirs and ours) with him before it was his time to go. Given the good shape he was in before the accident, it makes it so much more of a tragedy that he died so young.
He'll always remain in my heart, and I know in yours. My condolences to all. Special condolences to Erika, and my heartfelt wish that you'll find peace, eventually, and learn to go on without him.
Much love always,
Karen
